Oslo Børs/Axess
Oslo Børs/Axess stipulates that companies listed on Oslo Børs/Axess must publish an annual statement on the company's principles for corporate governance in accordance with the Norwegian Code of Practice for Corporate Governance, see circular no 15/2007.
Norwegian legislation
Norwegian corporate governance is based on company, accounting, stock exchange and securities legislation. The Norwegian Code of Practice includes provisions and guidance that in part elaborate on existing legislation and in part cover areas not addressed by legislation.

International organisations
The European Corporate Governance Institute ("ECGI") is an international scientific non-profit association who provides a forum for debate and dialogue between academics, legislators and practitioners, focusing on major corporate governance issues and thereby promoting best practice.
The International Corporate Governance Network ("ICGN") is an unincorporated, not-for-profit association with primary purposes to provide an investor-led network for the exchange of views and information about corporate governance issues internationally, examine corporate governance principles and practices, to develop and encourage adherence to corporate governance standards and guidelines, and to generally promote good corporate governance.
